A surf-styled golf vehicle will be riding around Sierra Sage Golf Course Friday, August 7, 2015.
GolfBoarding allows golfers to surf from shot-to-shot, and Sierra Sage is offering free, public demonstration from 4 to 7 p.m.
The course is at 6355 Silver Lake Road in Stead.
The GolfBoard is four-wheeled board that allows riders to turn by shifting their body weight similar to snowboarding or surfing. Clubs are attached to a handle.
“We’re demonstrating GolfBoards this Friday to appeal to younger players by allowing them to surf the earth,” says Mike Mazzaferri, head manager at Sierra Sage. “We hope our avid players will also get amped over a fast, fun and active golf experience.”
The GolfBoard has been on the market since April 2014 and is available at about 100 golf courses in North America.
