Black Rock Visitor Center

The Bureau of Land Management has opened the Black Rock Visitor Center, 200 Transfer Road in Gerlach, for the season. Their operating hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

“The Black Rock Visitor’s Contact Center is a tool put in place for the public’s use to assist with
inquiries about public lands,” said William Mack, Jr., Field Manager for the Black Rock Field
Office. “I highly encourage the public to stop in at the Center to learn more about the Black Rock Desert and the BLM administered lands in the surrounding area.”

The Center will be open through the end of October. For more information, contact William Mack, Jr., Field Manager for the Black Rock Field Office at (775) 623-1500 or [email protected].
