The brains behind A.V.A. Ballet Theatre, Alexander van Alstyne, has re-imagined Sleeping Beauty in way that’s designed to wow audience members of all ages. This production will be accompanied by the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra performing the score to the beloved Disney film, conducted by Laura Jackson.

Sleeping Beauty will be performed for just two shows so you won’t want to miss out on this opportunity. The first performance will be Saturday, May 2 at 8 p.m. and the second performance will be Sunday, May 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $45 and are available for purchase at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, where the production is being staged.

The A.V.A. Ballet is the resident ballet for the Pioneer Center. The dancers are under the instruction of professional faculty and staff, who have performed with a variety of renowned ballets and production companies throughout the United States and across Europe.
