Daniel Burns was arrested on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle on South Virginia Street. Officers observed the occupied vehicle and conducted a traffic stop to make the arrest.

Jeffrey Capurro was arrested on charges of child endangerment and giving false identification on Dickerson Road.

A series of residential burglaries took place on University Park Loop. The victim returned home to find property missing. On investigation, officers learned two nearby residences had also been burglarized. The suspects are described as young males driving a newer white sedan with California plates.

Police are seeking suspects in an armed robbery involving a firearm on Neil Road. The victim answered the door, allowing the suspects to push their way into the home.The suspects are described as: Suspect #1: H/F/A, early thirties, 5’4”-6’ tall, chubby build, LSW black pants and a black long sleeve shirt with green stripes on the sleeve. Suspect #2: W/M/A, late thirties, 5’10” tall, thin build, pockmarked face, LSW a gray and white ball cap, blue jeans and faded blue jacket.

There were reports of a shooting into an occupied building on Valley Road, but no injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Regional Gang Unit.

Steven Velasco was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon (knife) at 4th and Lake Streets after an acquaintance attempted to help the suspect with some trouble he was having. Travon Couts was arrested for possession of marijuana.

David Costiloe was arrested on charges of BDW with a knife, domestic battery, and O&R on North Virginia Street.

February 4, 2015

Gerhart Maijala was arrested on two counts of sexual assault against a child under 14 and two counts of lewdness with a child under 14. Both incidents involved a victim known to the suspect. Read the entire press release here.

February 5, 2015

Ollie Ricardo Grayson, age 59, is registered as a Tier III Sex Offender by the State of Nevada Sex Offender Registry. He will be residing in the 7000 block of Sand Pebble Drive in Reno, and is currently unemployed. Mr. Grayson is in compliance with all Sex Offender laws, and is not wanted by law enforcement.

Marcus Williams was arrested on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and PCS on Lake Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop to make the arrest.

There was a BDW and stabbing on Lake Street where the victim and a subject were initially involved in a verbal dispute. When the suspect arrived, he stabbed the victim and then fled. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening. The suspect has been identified, but it still outstanding.
