Organizers of Crawl Reno say their first pajama crawl last year was the happiest they’ve seen people, especially at a first-year event.

“People just really enjoy being out in public wearing their PJs,” said Ed Adkins, owner of Crawl Reno, who puts on the Reno Zombie Crawl and Reno Leprechaun Crawl, now in its third year.

He said that the public can expect to see lots of different jammies on display, like lingerie, bath robes, fuzzy slippers and onesies, a growing trend.

“We ran into a couple last year who bought really fancy homemade onesie costumes and came out from Denver for the crawl,” Adkins said. “They couldn’t wait to get their turn at our photo booth.”

In order to take part in the festivities, crawlers need to purchase a commemorative cup and map that cost $5, which entitles them to drink specials, costume contests and free cover at several clubs, bars and restaurants in downtown.

The crawl begins 8 p.m. at The Waterfall, located on 2nd Street near West Street. Highlights include prizes and giveaways, such as Victoria’s Secret gift cards, glow sticks, beanies and a midnight pillow drop at Aura inside Silver Legacy Casino.
