kc-postcard-300x233-8232676-1971856Sierra Arts is proud to present At Odds End, an exhibition of thought provoking imagery captured with stunning precision. This is the first exhibition for Kathryn Carlson since she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2012 from The University of Nevada Reno.

The reception will be on March 5 at the Sierra Arts Gallery beginning at 5 p.m. The artist will briefly speak about this collection and take questions starting at 6:30 p.m.

From the serious political nature of Flagellation: Corrective Rape, to the deeply personal Illusions of Truth, a piece about suicidal contemplation, the artist explores the theory that suffering and tragedy can offer a sort of sublime beauty. The exhibition will be on display through March 13, 2015.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments generously provided by Wild River Grille.
