The event, held Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Summit Boulevard, in Reno, features market vendors, pampering stations, refreshments, live music, crafts, gift giveaways and more.

This fun event geared for the whole family, includes activities throughout the day. Children may participate in craft projects, fly kites and gliders, face painting and more. Mothers can indulge in lipstick or lip gloss applications; scalp, neck, shoulder and hand massages; and tasty samples.

In addition to the free activities and events, The Summit will give back to shoppers through its Shoptimum Rewards promotion held Monday, May 5, through Sunday, May 11. If shoppers spend $200 or more at any five different stores, restaurants, and the movies at The Summit, they will earn a free $25 Summit gift card. Shoppers must redeem their receipts by Wednesday, May 14, by 5:30 p.m. at the Guest Services Office located near J. Crew. The center currently has nearly 70 stores and restaurants for guests to enjoy, of which approximately 40 are exclusive to northern Nevada.

For those looking to win Mother’s Day pampering, Facebook fans can enter to win a special package valued at more than $500. The Summit is asking all Facebook fans to visit The Summit’s Facebook page, like them, like the Mother’s Day pampering package post and answer the following question by commenting on their post: “If you could describe your mother in one word, what would it be?” One lucky winner will be randomly selected during the WOW MOM event on Saturday, May 10, at 4 p.m. A word cloud of all the responses will be created and shared at the conclusion of the event.

On Sunday, May 11, from 2 to 5 p.m., shoppers 21 and over can stroll around The Summit during the Mother’s Day Wine Walk hosted by L’uva Bella Wine Gallery. Shoppers can sip and shop at various store and restaurant locations while enjoying food sampling. Visit L’uva Bella to purchase tickets for $20 per person. Proceeds from the Wine Walks at The Summit benefit local charities and vary from month to month.
