“Lacrosse Jamboree” draws hundreds of local youth

the-fallon-bighorns-take-on-the-north-reno-outlaws-at-last-years-youth-jamboree1-237x300-4006123-6019961High Sierra Lacrosse will hold its annual Youth Lacrosse Jamboree on April 12. Boys and girls teams from North Reno, South Reno, Sparks/Spanish Springs, Fallon, North Tahoe, and Truckee will compete in scrimmages throughout the day. Players will range in age from 8 to 15. The event is free and open to the public—bring the family! The Jamboree will also feature: raffle prize giveaways throughout the day, local food trucks, lacrosse gear and apparel from Sling It Lacrosse.

The event is Saturday, April 12, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School, 110 Bishop Manogue Drive, in Reno.

High Sierra Lacrosse is committed to providing fun and motivational lacrosse instruction for youth at all levels. Miriam Hodgman is originally from San Francisco. She previously was the communications coordinator for the largest hunger-relief organization in Sonoma County, California. She has a bachelor’s degree in American history, with a minor in American Indian studies, from San Francisco State University, and has a master’s degree in public administration from Sonoma State University. She enjoys training a variety of martial arts.
