RPD NEWS RELEASE
At approximately noon today, Reno Police Officers responded to 1061 Steamboat Parkwayon the report of a drive by shooting.
The investigation revealed the victim became involved in a road rage situation with the suspect. The victim completed a U-turn to leave the area, and the suspect drove by the victim the in the opposite direction. When the suspect passed by the victim, he pointed a gun out of the driver side window, fired the gun, and a bullet struck the victim’s vehicle.
The victims were not injured. Investigation officers located the suspect, suspect’s vehicle and gun. Jason Garlington, 38, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
