AIGA Reno/Tahoe, the professional association for design, is hosting a lecture by illustrator Lisa Congdon at the Nevada Museum of Art on Wednesday, February 26 at 6pm. A cocktail and chatter reception will take place prior to the talk at 5:00pm.
The talk, “Embrace the Abyss and Other Lessons,” will explore the important subjects, interactions and teachings Congdon has learned throughout her journey as an illustrator and designer.
Congdon is known for her colorful paintings and collages. Since 2007, she has been illustrating for clients including The Museum of Modern Art, Martha Stewart Living Magazine, Chronicle Books, The Land of Nod, Harper Collins Publishing, The Obama Campaign and Simon & Schuster. She is the author of “Whatever You Are, Be a Good One” and “Art, Inc.”, both set to be released by Chronicle Books in 2014.
