Mi Familia Vota Education Fund, Justice for Immigrants, PLAN, Northern Nevada Latino Alliance and UNR Latino Student Advisory Board will host a forum in Northern Nevada Wednesday, Feb. 19, with experts speaking on topics relating to current immigration laws and current immigration reform proposals. It will be at 5:30 p.m. at Pine Middle School.
Immigration Forum: Facts vs. Myths of Immigration Reform will cover topics such as current immigration law, economic benefits of reform and proposed immigration legislation. Panelists will include key state leaders, legal experts and renowned researchers. People may register here.
Special event guests will include Congressman Mark Amodei and Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshal.
