RPD NEWS RELEASE

1300123_fff2-2509805-3865640On Sunday, Dec. 8, beginning at 5 a.m., the Reno Police Department will be closing sections of Peckham Lane from the south end of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport to the Convention Center. The road closure will allow crop-duster type aircraft to be moved to the Convention Center for the 47th annual National Agricultural Aviation Association convention.

The movement of aircraft on city streets is not expected to take longer than two hours.

A similar movement of those aircraft will take place on Thursday, Dec. 12, but in the reverse order. Beginning at 5 a.m. on Dec. 12, Reno Police will facilitate the movement of aircraft from the Convention Center to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Sections of Peckham Lane will be closed as the aircraft are moved.

Just as before, RPD does not anticipate these closures to last beyond 7 a.m.
