6th annual Holiday Gingerbread Festival set for Dec. 14

maycenter_logo-6262120-1785436The May Arboretum Society and the Washoe County Community Services Department Parks Division have announced the 6th annual Holiday Gingerbread Festival will be Saturday, Dec. 14, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Wilbur D. May Museum.

WHAT: The event will include free museum admission, musical presentations from local school groups and the Holiday Gingerbread Contest display. Entry forms for the contest are available online at www.washoecountyparks.com or www.mayarboretumsociety.org and may also be picked up at the museum or at the May Arboretum office at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. Entry forms are due by Dec 11.

WHERE: The Wilbur D. May Museum, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra St., Reno

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 14, noon-3 p.m.

COST & DETAILS: Admission to the museum will be free on Dec. 14. There is a $10 registration fee per entry for the gingerbread contest, and ribbons and prizes will be awarded in four categories: Adult, Family, Professional and Open for all other creative gingerbread works. A People’s Choice award will also be voted on by the public, and winners will be announced at 2 p.m. Proceeds support the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. View all the contest details.
