HARRY REID NEWS RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Harry Reid today announced the Sun Valley post office will remain open after working closely with the United States Postal Service. Reid expressed his concern to the USPS and sent more than 50 constituent letters to the post office to ensure that their review included comments from affected Nevadans.
“After months of evaluation, I am pleased that the USPS has decided to keep the Sun Valley post office open. I have been working with the USPS to ensure they understand the importance of the Sun Valley post office in Northern Nevada. I am glad that the USPS listened to the voices of those who would have been impacted by a possible closing from senior citizens to disabled veterans. We need comprehensive postal reform, and I am hopeful the House and Senate can reach an agreement to modernize the USPS and ensure mail delivery for Nevada and the country.”
