Nevada Women hit the road to face third consecutive Big West foe

image001-3963632-4482720RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada women’s basketball team (2-1 MW) will hit the road to face its third consecutive Big West opponent Thursday night at Cal Poly (1-3 Big West). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Mott Athletics Center. The Wolf Pack is 1-1 against Big West opponents this season, defeating Long Beach State 91-61 on Nov. 15, before falling to UC Irvine 86-72 on Nov. 17.

Nevada leads the overall series with Cal Poly 7-3. The Mustangs defeated the Wolf Pack 72-63 last season in Reno. Nevada senior guard Danika Sharp had 21 points in the loss. Molly Schlemer leads Cal Poly with 17.5 ppg., and 12.8 rpg. The Mustangs opened the2012-13 season with three losses, before defeating New Mexico State 72-64 at home on Monday.
