Washoe Golf Course invites kids to play free on Family Golf Day

washoe-150x150-1126238-6377985The Washoe Golf Course continues to support affordable family golf and the PGA’s Play Golf America initiative by inviting kids to play 18 holes for free on Family Golf Day Sunday, Aug. 4.

Young golfers are invited to play a free round at Washoe Golf Course during the course’s Family Golf Day on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Golfers age 17 and under play 18 holes for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Washoe Golf offers a series of monthly Family Days along with a variety of PGA Play Golf America initiative specials aimed at providing affordable golf opportunities for all ages. For more information, visit the Washoe Golf website.

Washoe Golf Course is Reno’s oldest golf course. The “Shoe” is a par 72, 18-hole course offering a challenging round of golf with spectacular views of Reno and the Sierra. Golfers may reserve tee times in advance online. The course is operated by Bell-Men Golf and managed by Washoe County’s Community Services Department. Facilities include the driving range, PGA professionals, pro shop, and “The Shoe Bar and Grill,” a full-service restaurant overlooking the course.
