‘Love Birds’ open house at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park Saturday

WASHOE COUNTY COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASECelebrate the season of love by bringing the family to Rancho San Rafael Regional Park’s free “Love Birds” Open House from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday, February 9.

Join Washoe County Park Rangers Marie Fong and Bill Ware to discover the historic connection between Valentine’s Day and birds. Activities include Valentine crafts and a story corner inside the Main Ranch House, an indoor and outdoor “love bird” themed scavenger hunt and the chance to meet some live birds and find out why birds are the international symbol of love. The Reno Area Avian Enthusiasts will bring live birds to greet young visitors and provide a wide range of bird facts.

What: “Love Birds” Family Open House.

When: 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday, February 9.

Where: Main Ranch House, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra Street, Reno.
