Nevada Senator Greg Brower, R-Reno, today introduced a bill to assist law enforcement efforts to seize the proceeds of criminal activity and property used in the commission of crimes. SB118 would allow law enforcement authorities, upon proof to a judge by a preponderance of evidence, to seize property believed to be connected to criminal activity.
“It is critical for public safety that law enforcement officials have the ability to seize the proceeds of criminal activity and property that is used in the commission of crimes,” said Brower. “The passage of this bill would assist our law enforcement agencies in their efforts to accomplish this goal.”
