SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
CARSON CITY, NEV. – In conjunction with National Heart Month, February, Carson Tahoe Cardiology (CTC) is pleased to announce Dr. Stephen Tann’s recent qualification as a Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology. This certification allows Dr. Tann to better serve Northern Nevadans by expanding his services to catheter based treatments of cardiovascular diseases.
These expanded services include several types of complex coronary and peripheral arterial interventions, including coronary and peripheral angiography, radial approach (wrist) to cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary and peripheral arterial interventions, intravascular ultrasound, fractional flow reserve measurement, and carotid artery stenting.
“We are very pleased that Dr. Tann has returned to this area after traveling for his extensive training,” said Annette Patellos, Director of Critical Care at Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare. “His return speaks volumes about the great expertise, equipment and cutting-edge technology that makes our five-star heart program so exceptional.”
Dr. Tann joins Dr. Christopher DiPaolo, Dr. Carl Juneau and Dr. Nathan Ho in treating patients with interventional cardiology needs at Carson Tahoe Cardiology.
Dr. Tann will share his expertise along with Dr. B Bottenberg and Dr. Thomas McNamara at the “Matters of the Heart” cardiovascular symposium. The event will be held on February 16, 2012 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, 1600 Medical Parkway.
