South Lake Tahoe, Calif. – The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit is temporarily changing the hours of operation for its North Shore office in Incline Village, Nev. Beginning next Wednesday, January 11, 2012, the office will be open Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The North Shore office issues wilderness permits for Desolation Wilderness, as well as national recreation passes, including the Access, Senior and Annual Interagency passes. It also sells maps and offers hiking, biking, backpacking, off-highway vehicle and other recreation information for the Lake Tahoe Basin.
