TMCC recognizes scholarship recipients Friday at annual reception

tmcc-300x101-3050990-2861916WHAT: Each year, the Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation awards achievement and encourages academic excellence through scholarships. The scholarships – which are based on scholastic merit, college and community service, life circumstances, financial need and major field of study – can range up to $1,000 or more per academic year. On Friday, TMCC will recognize the 2011 recipients at the second annual Legacy Scholarship Reception. The event is sponsored by AT&T Nevada.

WHO: This year’s recipients will be joined by TMCC administration, faculty and scholarship donors including event sponsor AT&T Nevada. Other donors include International Game Technology (IGT), Maxine S. Jacobs Foundation, Microsoft Licensing GP, Nell J. Redfield Foundation and NV Energy.
