County Purchasing receives annual Achievement in Procurement Award

WASHOE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

The Washoe County Purchasing Office has received the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Purchasing Institute.

The Achievement in Excellence in Procurement Award program is designed to measure and recognize organizational excellence in procurement, based upon innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the agency’s purchasing function.

The award is sponsored by the National Purchasing Institute, the California Association of Public Purchasing Officers, the Florida Association of Public Purchasing Officials, the Institute of Supply Management, the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, the National Association of State Procurement Officials, the National Association of Educational Procurement and the Texas Public Purchasing Association).

This is the sixteenth consecutive year Washoe County has received this prestigious award. Washoe County is one of only six government agencies nationally to win this award every year since its inception.
