MINDEN, Nev. – Sha Na Na brings their 40th Anniversary Show to the Carson Valley Inn for a free concert in the west parking lot on Sunday evening, Aug. 14.  Their show kicks off the CVI’s 27th birthday week and also celebrates the highlights of Sha Na Na ‘s four-decade journey through music history!

The festivities on Aug. 14 start with free Birthday T-shirt giveaways (while they last!) in the casino throughout the day and free cake and champagne from 3 to 4 p.m. The events move outside to the west parking lot at 6 p.m. with free popcorn and ice cream for the kids plus $2 draft beer and $1 canned soda or bottled water. Sha Na Na was in the original Woodstock Festival lineup, starred in the movie “Grease,” hosted the “Sha Na Na” TV series for four years and still plays more than 50 concerts a year, from state fairs, performing art centers, casino showrooms to mega corporate functions worldwide. And through it all – flower power, hard rock, metal music, disco, hip hop, rap and more – Sha Na Na remains true to the original concept: rock ’n’ roll is here to stay!
