SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
A new Web video from Rory Reid’s campaign emphasizes the candidate’s plans to totally reform Nevada’s struggling education system. The ad stars Reid’s wife, Cindy, who is a career educator.
The 30-second spot will also likely air on daytime television this fall.
Rory and Cindy Reid have been married for 22 years and are the proud parents of three teenage children. They met as college students, married in 1987 and currently live in Henderson.
Cindy Reid has taken a leave of absence from her job as a professor of English at the College of Southern Nevada to focus on the campaign this fall. She will be visiting schools, meeting with grassroots groups and participating in events across the state over the next two months, sharing the candidate’s plan for improving our schools and rebuilding our economy.
An accomplished educator who has been a high school teacher and served as a member of the state Board of Education, Cindy Reid partnered with Reid in researching and crafting “The Leading EDGE: Rory Reid’s Plan for Economic Development through Great Education.”
The EDGE plan will fundamentally change the way we approach our schools in Nevada, increasing accountability and giving teachers the freedom to teach and principals the tools to lead, while creating vibrant learning environments.
Rory Reid is the only candidate for governor to offer solutions for today and a plan for Nevada’s future success – supporting strong schools for a stronger economy. For more information about his campaign or to download his plans, visit Rory2010.com.
