Sue Lowden’s comments last week at an event in Mesquite suggesting patients should barter with their doctors to lower health care costs have already received national news attention. Now Lowden’s health care bartering scheme–a.k.a. “Chickens for Checkups”–has made her the butt of late-night TV jokes, as featured on the Jay Leno show this week.
