WASHINGTON, D.C.–Sen. Harry Reid met today with Nevada’s firefighters professional association to discuss the development of search and rescue response systems and opportunities for job creation. Attendees included Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada President Rusty McAllister, Vice President Joe Espinoza, North District Vice President Robert Schreihans, South District Vice President Ryan Beaman and Secretary-Treasurer Scott M. Gorgon.
“Investment in emergency services creates jobs that save lives. We have already created or saved important public service jobs in Nevada through the Recovery Act,” Reid said. “As we move closer to wild fire season, I am committed to ensuring that our state’s brave firefighters have the resources they need to protect Nevadans from the threat of fire and respond quickly in emergencies.”
