Kickoff party for launch of literary journal

The public is invited to join the founders of “The Nevada Review,” Reno-born Caleb Cage and Winnemucca-born Joe McCoy, in celebrating the release of the inaugural issue.

  • WHAT: A party will be held to launch the inaugural issue of The Nevada Review, a first of its kind literary journal dedicated to Nevada.
  • WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, 6-8 p.m.
  • WHERE: Zephyr Books, 1501 S. Virginia Street, Reno

The Nevada Review is a biannual journal that will feature essays dealing with history, law, policy, and cultural themes, as well as short stories that concern Nevada, its people and their way of life.

The launch party will feature readings from contributing authors, as well as a display of photographs by Larry Neel, whose picture “ Storm Over Big Smoky Valley ” adorns the cover of the first issue.
