Matchbox Twenty and the Counting Crows brought “A Brief History of Everything Thing Tour” to the Grand Sierra Theatre inside the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. The venue was a near sell-out with only a few scattered seats remaining. Both bands blew the roof off with awesome sets.

Up first was the Counting Crows, the ’90s rock band best known for the hit singles “Mr. Jones” and “Accidentally in Love” from “Shrek 2,” neither of which they played in their 60-minute set.

Band Members include: Adam Duritz (lead vocals, piano), Dan Vickrey (lead guitar), David Bryson (guitar), David Immerglück (guitar, banjo, mandolin), Millard Powers (bass guitar), Charlie Gillingham (keyboards, accordion) and Jim Bogios (drums, percussion).

Rob Thomas was in top form, as was the entire band. Definitely one of the best shows of the year.

Current members include, Rob Thomas (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards), Kyle Cook (lead guitar, backing vocals), Brian Yale (bass), Paul Doucette (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Stacy Jones (drums).

He saw three guys shooting the show and thought to himself, "that's what I want to do." After many years of undercover work (sneaking his camera into venues), he finally got noticed and started getting photo passes through PR people and the bands. John has had many of his photos published in newspapers, websites and band autobiographies.
