BVW Jewelers is auctioning a beautiful necklace in 14k white and yellow gold with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds for that someone special who wins the auction with the highest bid.
The local jeweler said that it will be giving 100 percent of the proceeds to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. The last chance to bid is August 31, 2016.
“Why did BVW Jewelers chose the Food Bank of Northern Nevada as our primary organization to give to?” asked BVW Jewelers’ owners. “As children growing up in rural Oklahoma, both Britten and myself were no strangers to poverty, we still vividly remember the struggles and hardships that we endured.
“Although our past was unfortunate, we realize that we were still luckier than many families living right here in our current community. That being said, our goal in life is to try and help as many children as we can to ensure that their nutritional needs are being met.
