The Center for Unique Business Enterprises (The CUBE) announced today that Estella Hunt will assume the role of interim executive director.

Hunt, director of education services community outreach at The CUBE, succeeds Eric Madison. He is leaving after serving as The CUBE’s executive director during 2015

“Estella has a demonstrated ability to create, design, and implement innovative programs that serve the community at large. We are all excited at her willingness to assume additional responsibilities during this time of transition,” said Norman Smith, director of mentoring and investor relations. “All of us here at The CUBE, as well as the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Northern Nevada, benefit from whatever Estella turns her attention towards.”

Ky Good, director of academic and community relations, praised Madison.

“During Eric’s tenure, he helped rebrand The CUBE as a startup community center, recruited more than 20 new startups into the CUBE incubator program and developed the Pitch Your Idea program enabling entrepreneurs to get immediate and actionable feedback about their idea or business,” Good said.

Madison said, “I am pleased with the progress made in 2015, and I extend best wishes to the team members and amazing startups at The CUBE.”
