Bishop Manogue Catholic High School has joined Giving Tuesday, a 24-hour global “day of giving.” After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, students, parents and alumni are invited to donate towards those in need.
“We’re always working to build greater awareness of philanthropy and generosity,” said Annie Turner, Bishop Manogue’s Director of Development. “Christian service is an important component of our students’ education, and what better way to begin the Holiday season than by inspiring others to give back?”
Bishop Manogue’s Giving Tuesday will begin with the school’s Annual Appeal campaign to raise funds for access to Catholic education. Then, the high school will help others donate to their charities.
“Giving Tuesday provides an extraordinary opportunity for businesses and foundations of all sizes, and individuals of all backgrounds, to come together to support causes they care deeply about,” said Turner. “And while our school community appreciates any and all support, this movement is about more than just dollars. We want to see people give of themselves to whatever cause matters most to them, through volunteerism, sharing, healing, sacrifice, or through monetary means.”
