Second annual 4 Wheel Parts Nitto National Championship expected to bring thousands to Wild West Motorsports Park Oct. 16 and 17

Reno, Nev. – For the second consecutive year, the top Ultra 4 racers in the country will wow thousands of northern Nevada fans when the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto National Championship comes to the Wild West Motorsports Park on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16 and 17. Last year’s event, which was described as “King of the Hammers in a short course,” drew more than 10,000 spectators and 120 professional drivers to compete for $10,000 and the honor and prestige of being named Ultra 4 National Champion. Ultra 4 racing combines the speeds and jumps of off-road racing with the skill and fearlessness of rock crawling. Over the last several weeks, Q&D Construction has been hard at work transforming the track to make it one of the toughest Ultra 4 tracks in the country, featuring boulders, steep inclines and declines and lots of spectacular jumps. Tickets are on sale now and start at $25, with free admission for kids 12 and under. For more information visit www.ultra4racing.com or to purchase tickets visit www.wildwestmotorsportspark.com.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto National Championship return for a second year and we’re expecting this year to be even bigger than last year,” said Eric Pender, general manager of Wild West Motorsports Park. “The Wild West Motorsports Park has quickly established itself as one of the top off-road racing venues in the country, bringing some of the top racing events and racers to northern Nevada and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on this reputation next week.”

The Wild West Motorsports Park, which is also home to the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, is located just five minutes east of Sparks at exit 23 and has permanent 7,500-seat grandstands, with plenty of parking and RV camping areas. The park features a one-mile-long short course built into the mountainside and includes high-speed straightaways, massive elevation changes, mega air ski jumps and a series of obstacles. In addition to two days of Ultra 4 racing, event goers can peruse the pits for photos with their favorite drivers and vehicles. The pits are open to the public and grandstand seating is general admission. Food and merchandise vendors will also be on site.

The Atlantis Casino Resort is the official hotel partner for the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto Ultra 4 National Championships and event goers will receive special rates on hotel rooms during the event.
