CARSON CITY, Nev. — Enter Nevada Magazine’s Great Nevada Picture Hunt by July 15 and your entry could be published in an upcoming issue.

For 38 years, Nevada Magazine has highlighted the most beautiful images from around the Silver State, captured by local photographers. Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to submit photos of Nevada’s scenery and people. Winning entries will be published in the September/October issue of Nevada Magazine and on the magazine’s website.

New for 2015, submissions must fall into one of 10 categories:

  • Cityscape
  • Rural town
  • Black-and-white
  • Long exposure
  • Natural light
  • Event
  • Landscape
  • Wildlife
  • Portrait/people
  • Mobile phone

Prizes will be awarded for the best photo in each category, plus a grand prize winner will be named. Photographers can enter up to 10 photos. Submissions can be added to Nevada Magazine’s 2015 Great Nevada Picture Hunt Flickr group, which can be found here. The deadline to enter is July 15, 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
