The recently introduced Reno Tahoe International Film Festival (RTIFF) will host an Oscar party on Sunday, Feb. 22. The public is invited to celebrate an evening of mixing and mingling with the board of directors and more than 100 members of the Reno Tahoe Film Society.

The party begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. Tickets are $75 and are available at www.rtiff.org.

“This exciting event is a fun way to get to know those in our community who love film and to celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night with one another as we approach our own biggest night in Reno, June 7, when we announce the awards for the Reno Tahoe Int’l Film Festival,” said Chayah Masters, executive director of RTIFF. “The Oscars are truly a global event capturing the attention of those with a love for film and its creative process. It really is a perfect segue to the first annual Reno Tahoe International Film Festival in June.”

The inaugural RTIFF is scheduled for June 4-7 at locations throughout Reno / Tahoe. Ticket and pass prices are available through Saturday, Feb. 28 at www.rtiff.org.
