Monroe Jones, age 64, has been assessed as a Tier III Sex Offender by the State of Nevada Sex Offender Registry. He will be residing in the 200 block of Mill Street and is currently unemployed. Jones is currently in compliance with all sex offender laws and is not currently wanted by law enforcement.

An armed robbery occurred on South Virginia Street. The victim and suspects agreed to meet, but when the suspects arrived they robbed the victim, taking property and cash. The suspects are described as: #1: B/M/A, mid 30s, 6’2”, heavy build, LSW white clothing like a painter. #2: B/M/A, mid 30s, 6’ tall, thin build, LSW black shorts and a black shirt with red letters.

Around 7 p.m., Sparks police responded to the area near Howard Street after a report of a car crashing into a tree. A 2007 Subaru was found wrapped around a tree, the lone driver in and out of consciousness. The driver was transported to Renown with non-life threatening injuries. A driver of a second car is believed to have fled the scene after the accident.

Around 10 p.m. Sparks police responded to reports of a shooting during a road rage incident. A silver Toyota pickup is believed to have a run a black Audi off the road. Cesar Romero, the suspect, is believed to have exited his car brandishing a weapon, going after the victim. The victim’s brother tried to come to his aid and Romero eventually fled on foot to a nearby residence. The victim eventually drove himself to Northern Nevada Medical Center to be treated for a gunshot wound to the chest. He was later transferred to Renown. Romero was also transported to Renown when police apprehended him. Upon release from the hospital, Romero was transported to the Washoe County Jail where he was booked for Battery with a Deadly Weapon (handgun), Assault with a Deadly Weapon (vehicle) and misdemeanor property damage. The investigation is ongoing.

There was an armed robbery, with a firearm and knife on Riverside Drive. The victims were approached by the suspects who were armed and demanded their property. The suspects are described as: #1: H/M/A, early to mid 20s, 5’6”, medium build, LSW a grey hooded sweatshirt. #2: H/M/A, mid 20s, 5’6”, thin build, LSW a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.

Sparks police responded to a stabbing victim at Renown. Upon arrival, police learned several subjects were involved in a fight at Aguitas Night Club. One suspect stabbed two people before fleeing the scene. The victims were transported to Renown for their non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 18-20 years of age, 5’7”, slender, with a black hooded sweatshirt and black hat.
