Suspect in Monday’s pursuit in custody

kevin-norton-240x300-9181952-5800594The subject of Monday’s pursuit in Sun Valley, Kevin Alvin Norton, was taken into custody today, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.

Norton, 41, was brought into the Washoe County Detention Facility early Thursday morning, January 15, after surrendering himself to a local bail bondsman.

Detectives had been searching for Norton since he fled from deputies after an attempted traffic stop near Clear Acre and Scottsdale on Monday afternoon.

In addition to the original misdemeanor warrants against Norton, he has now been charged with additional counts including reckless driving, destruction of droperty and a felony charge for eluding a police officer.
