Dedrick, Jalen 15-595 Adams, Stephan 15-595Just before 1 p.m. on today a concerned resident who lives in the 2400 block of Sierra Highlands called the Reno Police Dispatch to report that two suspicious black males wearing ski masks had just jumped a fence into the backyard of a residence.  As Reno Police responded, the citizen continued to give dispatchers descriptions of the suspects until officers arrived in the area.

When they arrived, officers established a perimeter and the suspects attempted to flee. Other residents in the area assisted officers in pointing out the location of the suspects as they ran.

After a short foot pursuit of the two suspects, the two men were taken into custody. Officers recovered the stolen property, including firearms, that the two suspects stole from the victim residence.

Arrested for burglary with firearm enhancement and obstructing and resisting officers were 21-year-old Stephan Adams and 19-year-old Jalen Dedrick.

The Reno Police Department is thanking the citizens who assisted in the apprehension of these two individuals.
