Pack drops fifth straight; matchup with Cal looms Saturday

LBSU now leads the series 13-6 and has won the last four meetings.

Nevada returns home to host Cal on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.  The game will air on CBS Sports Network.

Nevada has lost five in a row after starting the season 2-0.

The LBSU game ends a season-high five-game stretch of games away from Reno.

Sophomore guard D.J. Fenner tied for game-high honors with 17 points, one shy of his career high set this year in the season opener versus Cal Poly.

Fenner has scored in double figures in five games this season.

Junior guard Marqueze Coleman tied his career-high finishing with 15 points.   Coleman has scored in double figures in six-of-seven games this season.

Junior forward AJ West grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and was one point from posting his third double-double of the season as he netted nine points.

West led the team in rebounding for the sixth time this season and posted a game-high for the fifth time.  Tonight was his third double digit rebounding game of the season.

West has a blocked shot in every game after blocking four tonight.

Senior guard Michael Perez scored 10 points to give the Pack three double figure scorers in the game.  It was the fifth time Perez reached double figures this season and 26th time in his career.

Perez started 39th consecutive game tonight.

Nevada has not scored 60 points in the last four games.

In the last two games Nevada has committed 39 turnovers.  The Pack had a season-high 20 at Omaha and 19 tonight at LBSU.

The Pack shot a season-low 32 percent from the field and made a season-low 16 field goals.

Head coach David Carter is now 91-80 in his sixth season at Nevada.  The 91 wins is tied with Len Stevens (1987-93) for sixth in career wins at Nevada.
