Fight at hotel leaves one man dead

randall-dahl-240x300-1083311-7389117A little before 7 am on December 10, 2014, Reno Police and REMSA personnel were dispatched to the area of 4th and Lake Street in downtown Reno, on the report of a subject in a wheelchair who was unresponsive. When Officers and medics arrived in the area they located the male subject, but he was already deceased. The 51-year-old deceased Reno resident’s name will be released after notification of his next of kin.

Reno Police Department Robbery Homicide Detectives responded and spoke to several witnesses in the area. They learned that earlier in the evening the deceased male was at a hotel room on Center Street when he got into a physical altercation. During the altercation the suspect punched the victim who fell to the ground and never regained consciousness. Detectives went and spoke with the suspect who admitted to them that he had battered the victim. Arrested for one count of Open Murder was 54 year old Reno resident Randall Dahl (DOB 03/08/60).
