Washoe County is accepting applications for the now vacant Assembly District 24 seat. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, live within Assembly District 24 and be of the same political party as the person who vacated the seat–in this case, the Democratic Party.
The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Washoe Commissioners will appoint the vacant seat at a special board meeting Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014.
