Students and faculty from Bishop Manogue Catholic High School will once again reenact the ultimate timeless tale during the school’s annual Live Nativity. The school has hosted a Live Nativity since 2006.
The event is supported by the E. L. Wiegand Performing Arts Collaborative. The Collaborative is funded by the E. L. Wiegand Foundation with the goal of creating a continuum of performing arts education through all grade levels in the Diocese of Reno’s five Catholic schools.
In addition to live reenactments of the Christmas Story, each lasting approximately 20 minutes, visitors can enjoy holiday music provided by the Bishop Manogue Choir, refreshments, and a chance to browse and shop in the campus store. The event is free and open to the public. Drama instructor Janet Lazarus says the audience always seems to enjoy the break from the holiday bustle that the performances provide. “The Live Nativity is a wonderful way for the whole family to get into the true spirit of the season. And that season goes by very quickly!”
