Pack tops Adams State at Lawlor; next five games on the road

Nevada improved to 2-0 after defeating Adams State (1-1) 69-64 tonight at Lawlor Events Center.

Head coach David Carter improved to 91-75 in his six seasons at Nevada.  The 91 wins tied Len Stevens (1987-93) for sixth in career wins at Nevada.

Nevada is 2-0 to start the season for the first time under Carter and first time since the 2006-07 season.

The Wolf Pack wore turquoise uniforms on N7 Night as part of Native American Month (November).

Nevada is 2-0 wearing the turquoise uniforms as the defeated Chattanooga last season on N7 Night.

Junior forward AJ West had career highs with 17 points and 18 rebounds.  It is his third career double-double.

Sophomore guard D.J. Fenner led the team for the second game in a row with a career-high 18 points.

Nevada put four players in double figures as Michael Perez scored 12 and Marqueze Coleman added 11 to join Fenner and West in double figures.

Nevada plays its next five games away from Reno with three games in the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands followed by trips to Nebraska-Omaha and Long Beach State.

Coleman tied his career-high with nine made free throws.

Nevada plays Seton Hall in the first game of the Paradise Jam on Friday at 1 p.m. PT.
