WCSAR NEWS — Washoe County Search and Rescue, Inc. (WCSAR) had their Annual Award Banquet January 11, 2014 at Atlantis Casino Resort-Spa. Undersheriff Tim Kuzanek, Det. Ralph Caldwell, Sgt. Bill Devine and Dep. Dom LeBlanc from the Sheriff’s Department attended the banquet.
Awards for an outstanding job for the past year was given to Dale Kelly, Travis Osterhout, Eric Easley, Mike Schuler and Jim Haggarty. The Rookie of the Year Award was given to Brian Jacobsoen. The Ten Year Award was given to David Book.
A new award was handed out this year it was for a non-WCSAR member for supporting Search and Rescue. The title of the award is the Todd Vinger Award. The Todd Vinger Award went to former Undersheriff Todd Vinger, and former Undersheriff Todd Vinger was made a Life Time Member of WCSAR.
