BOB LUCEY NEWS RELEASE

lucey-300x81-2131284-1112411Ty Whitaker, candidate for Washoe Commission 2, flip-flopped Thursday on his position regarding the fire divorce less then 12 hours after he announced his support, illustrating a fundamental lack of understanding of the issues facing our community.

Ty Whitaker quoted in the Reno Gazette-Journal on Dec. 4: “The deconsolidation is working for the county and I think the County Commission has done a good job with it.”

Ty Whitaker quoted in the Reno Gazette-Journal on Dec. 5: “I don’t think it’s working in any way, shape or form.”

The Bob Lucey campaign has issued the following response:

“Mr. Whitaker’s lack of understanding about the serious issues in the community is concerning to me as a resident of the district he seeks to represent. What is most concerning is that either Mr Whitaker doesn’t know his basic facts or he is willing to change his position to try to pander to the voters; either way this is not the type of leadership Washoe County needs.”
