The Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) will host the Inaugural Nevada Leadership Luncheon with special guest, University of Nevada, Reno President, Marc Johnson. ASUN’s Department of Legislative Affairs has invited members of the Nevada State Legislature and other public figures who have influence on legislation that deals primarily with higher education. During the luncheon, President Johnson will highlight some of the University’s top scholars and their accomplishments.

WHEN: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15
WHERE: Glick Ballroom, Joe Crowley Student Union, University campus
PARKING: Media parking is available in the metered-parking lot south of Lawlor Events Center. Media are asked to arrive in a marked vehicle or put a media badge or business card on the dashboard.
MORE INFORMATION: Live jazz and refreshments will be offered before the event. A plated lunch will be served as President Johnson gives remarks and introduces the University’s Truman, Goldwater and Udall Scholars. University tours will follow lunch, including a tour of The Reynolds School given by Journalism Dean Al Stavitsky. The newly renovated journalism building includes a new, state-of-the-art multimedia newsroom and audio studio.
