Free guided hike Oct. 12 through Bartley Ranch Regional Park.

washoe-300x294-2648630-2252335Enjoy a free guided hike this Saturday, Oct. 12 through Bartley Ranch Regional Park. Park Ranger Bryan Harrower will lead a walk around the park and will talk about the Park’s agricultural and natural history.

The one-hour hike begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and will also explore the historic Huffaker School and the Ranch Preserve buildings. The hike will finish up with a look through the Sierra Autumn Photo Exhibit and all ages are welcome. Fall photographs are on display in the Park’s Western Heritage Interpretive Center throughout the month of October. Visitors can vote for a “people’s choice” award and the exhibit is free to the public.

Where:Western Heritage Interpretive Center, BartleyRanchRegionalPark, 6000 Bartley Ranch Rd., Reno.
When:Hike from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, and see the photo exhibit which runs through Oct. 31(the exhibit will be closed on Oct. 25 in observance of Nevada Day).
