Sheriff’s Office to host community safety meeting for Sun Valley residents Tuesday

washoe_county_sheriffs_office_log-9169838-2934058The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office will hold the second in a series of community safety meetings for Sun Valley residents at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, in the Sun Valley Landowner’s Association Building at 5360 Sun Valley Blvd.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Lieutenant Teresa Aquila hosts the meetings as part of efforts by the Sheriff’s Office to partner with the community to reduce crime. During the meetings, Aquila will provide information about programs such as Alert ID that help keep residents safer along with a variety of personal safety tips.

Aquila said she also plans to discuss how to be a good witness at Tuesday’s meeting.

“Ultimately, our goal is to partner with Sun Valley residents to help make their neighborhoods a safer place to live,” Aquila said.
