rtologo-5118550-6010183RENO, Nev. (July 17, 2013) – The 15th Annual Reno-Tahoe Open at Montrêux, the PGA TOUR’s only West Coast summer stop in 2013, has added two free parking opportunities for spectators, making it easier than ever to attend the event. As in years past, public parking is offered for $5 per vehicle, however this year, carpooling vehicles with four or more passengers will be able to park for free. Additionally, guests who bring two or more non-perishable foods to donate to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN) will be granted free parking. All parking will be available at Galena High School, located off Mt. Rose Highway, and free shuttles to Montrêux will be provided.

“Carpooling not only eases traffic congestion, but also allows the Reno-Tahoe Open to take part in preserving the great outdoors, and donating food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada helps us and our guests give back to this great community,” said Chris Hoff, executive director for the Reno-Tahoe Open.

FBNN joins the extensive list of charities that the Reno-Tahoe Open assists during its event, including The First Tee of Northern Nevada, Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, The Children’s Cabinet, and the Northern Nevada Veterans Resource Center. Named the 2013 Member of the Year at the Feeding America National Executive Directors Forum, FBNN is a regional food distribution center and support system for more than 130 partner agencies serving the needy, the ill, the elderly and children.
