More open hours for Incline Village and North Valleys libraries approved

WASHOE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

At its July 17 meeting, the Library Board of Trustees approved increased hours at two Washoe County Library branches.  Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 4, Incline Village Library at 845 Alder Ave. and the North Valleys Library at 1075 North Hills Blvd. will both be open 35 hours per week.

The new hours for the Incline Village Library will be Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The new hours for the North Valleys Library are as follows:

  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“Library hours are evaluated based on usage trends,” says Library Director Arnie Maurins. “Increasing open hours is an ongoing goal, and the action taken by the Library Board is another step to providing the best possible library service to this community with the resources that are available.”

If you have questions about the hours changes, please contact the Incline Village Library directly at  775-832-4130 or the North Valleys Library at 775-972-0281.  The public is also encouraged to view library all library hours at the WCLS website, www.washoecountylibrary.us.
