midtownfarmersmarket-220x300-2757655-1551773SUBMITTED NEWS — The Midtown Farmer’s Market will host a kick-off event Sunday, July 28th from 10-2p to promote the newly re-established neighborhood market.

“We feature everything from homemade soaps, baked products, pottery, jewelry, local honey, fruits, veggies, meats, eggs, nuts, etc,” said Shawn Nelson, the event organizer. “We are homemade or homegrown only.”

The market will feature several local vendors selling everything from Kombucha to custom birdhouses. The family friendly event features a bounce house and face painter for kids, a rotation of the area’s notorious gourmet food trucks, and many other local small businesses. This is the second year for the Midtown Farmer’s Market and the first year in this location.

“We want the community to know we are here,” said Nelson. “We are proud of our little market and more and more vendors are joining us by the day, but without support from the community we won’t be able to grow like we are hoping to.”

The Midtown Farmer’s Market is open every Sunday from 10-2p at the corner of S. Virginia and Arroyo, in the Statewide Lighting parking lot. For more information, please contact Shawn Nelson at 815-8587.
